The text-to-speech can be used for talk-as-you-type into Pluto and for reading text in Pluto. The integral spellchecker has both check-as-you-type and check text modes. It includes a user dictionary, user-defined abbreviation expansion, and uses pronunciation information from the Speak module to help build its suggestions lists of possible intended spellings.
