- 24th July 2000
- Hi everyone. So what do you think of the new Corrs album? So
far I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Radio has been over
produced and is now rubbish, and the only songs that stand out at me
now are At your Side, Hurt Before, Breathless,
Give me a Reason and the sublime instrumental Rebel Heart.
If you're a real Corrs fan, I still suggest you buy this, just don't
get your hopes up! I'm still hoping it will grow on me! Ok, back to
the site. Once again I have to apologise, I just haven't been getting
the site done, no sooner do I finish A-Levels then I end up in employment!
You'll be thanking me in droves now that I have filled up all the links,
however, so no more broken ones! I shall now attempt to fill up the
content bit by bit. It's no quick process, as I do not wish to just
fill the site with blurb about the Corrs, rather try and give
an insight into the lives of these fascinating siblings, and try and
give you, the fan, information that will be useful. As explained before,
I seem to have had gremlins attack my normally perfect javascript! So
the rollover buttons have taken on a life of their own! Until I get
this sorted out (which is not a priority at the moment) please try and
put up with them! The actual links work fine. Oh yes, after the homepage,
the next link you click will need to load the menu once again, but after
that it will load from memory. Again, I'll sort this out when everything
else is finished. Take care.
- 29th June 2000
- Ok ok, it's the 29th of June and nothing much has changed, but the
past month I've been sitting my A-Levels, which are now finished, so
I have no excuse for not cracking on with the site now. I've finally
gotten round to upgrading from Flash 2 to 4, and those of you with the
Flash 4 plug in will notice the new intro on the index page, those without
will simply see the old picture. Oh, in case you don't know, the new
Corrs album, "In Blue" is out on the 17th of July,
that's in Britain, I presume it will be pretty similar for everywhere
else. Now I promise to get on with the site, I have a lot more time
on my hands now!
- 28th May 2000
- First of all an apology, I've left this site untouched and in a sorry
state for far too long, technical difficulties and lack of time have
meant that I have tried to forget about it for a little while. Now I've
a bit more time, I'm determined to finish the site, as proof of this
I've started this updates page so you can see how the site is progressing.
The entrance, index, page looks pretty I feel, and needs no more work,
let me know if you disagree. The home page is also pretty much finished,
but one thing that really annoys me is the menu. To save loading time
and avoid the use of frames, the menu is only ever loaded once, then
loaded from memory, so page loading times are ultra quick! The problem,
however, is with the rollover buttons. I feel that rollovers aid selection,
and can be useful to show what page your on, but herein lies the problem,
if you click on a new page, the old page remains highlighted! I've had
similar menus working fine on other sites, but try as I might I just
cannot sort it out! Damn javascript! I'll sort it out eventually, but
getting the content up is more important first.
